Educator of the Year Award
On May 1, 2003 Dr. Maria Lombardo was honored with "Educator of the Year Award" bestowed upon her by the Association of Italian American Educators (created by educators with the objective of enhancing the Italian American image and presence in education) for her outstanding contribution to the promotion of the Italian language and fundraising. The award was presented at the Fifth Annual Awards and Scholarship Celebration in Carole Place, New York.
