Italy and the Holocaust
Funded by:
- The Jewish Federation Italia
- Courage Italia
A
community audience of over 650 people honored Survivors as well as Rescuers,
including Mussolini's bodyguard. Survivors described their experiences in Italy
and provided the audience with insight into their fears, strengths and loyalty
to humanity. Dr. Maria Lombardo, NIAF's Education Director was the keynote speaker.
The event was highlighted by young opera singers and a reception culminated
a very successful event. Conference chairs were Frank Oliveri of Courage Italia
and Barbara Applebaum of the Jewish Federation of Rochester.
