In addition to a tour of the Holocaust Memorial Center, the other highlight of this event was a photo exhibit of the Jewish Ghetto of Rome prepared by Italy/Italy Magazine. Historian Dr. Paul Bookbinder discussed oppression and rescue in Southern Europe during the Nazi era. Dr. Maria Lombardo was the moderator leading a discussion on the moral lessons of the Holocaust with West Bloomfield Schools' Superintendent Dr. Seymour Gretchko, Rev. Jim Holley of the Little Rock Baptist Church and Rabbi Leonardo Bitran of Congregation Sharey Zedek, B'nai Israel Center and Mr. Manting Garagiola, President Italian American Cultural Center. A photo exhibit of the Jewish Ghetto of Rome prepared by Italy/Italy Magazine was displayed at the museum after the conference as well.
