Wrote seven proposals for The Academy of the Holy Cross and was funded by the William S. Abell Foundation for a Life Skills classroom the Clark Winchole Foundation and the Koch Foundation. Wrote proposals working with school districts across the U.S. to attain millions of dollars to help students in computer-assisted instruction, English as a second language, bilingual and before and after school programs. - Administered the NIAF national scholarship program that increased from (two) $250.00 categories to 82, with scholarships ranging from $2,000 - $20,000. Raised and helped others to raise between $100,000 -$300,000 yearly for the NIAF scholarship program. Raised and helped others to raise the scholarship endowment to 1.9 million dollars and brought two contracts: $1,500,000 from the De Francis Estate and $3,600,000 from the Mott Foundation.

International Bellisario Award
Dr. Maria Lombardo, former NIAF Education Director was the recipient of the highest award given to women in Italy , the Marisa Bellisario Mela d'Oro, for her work in promoting th e Italian language and culture in the United States . She accepted the award at Confindustria Auditorium in Rome , Italy , on May 5, 2001 . Past recipients of the coveted award are Marina Berlusconi, daughter of the former Prime Minister of Italy; Nobel Prize Winner, San Suu Kyl a prominent Human Rights Activist and Democratic Leader in Burma, and other women in finance, arts and other fields.
The Marisa Bellisario Award, modeled in memory of Marisa Bellisario's achievements in leadership, is sponsored by Confindustria of Italy, which is comprised of over 300 Italian companies, (equivalent Fortune 500 in U.S.A. ).
Keynote Speaker
